Funny Day July 24, 2011

Had a very interesting evening tonight.  We had Hurley (our guinea pig) outside in the yard in his enclosure because he LOVES Hawaii's warm temperatures.  Well, Roxy came inside and kept barking at me.  I finally realized she was trying to tell me that something was wrong.  I went outside with her and noticed what she was trying to tell me, HURLEY HAD GOTTEN OUT!  He was just squeaking away outside.  We found him up on the porch under the patio table.  LOL!  That was so funny!  I guess he wanted to go on an adventure is all.

July 8, 2011

Who out there in cyberspace have moments in their life when they just want to sleep an entire day? I know I can't be the only one. What do you o to get yourself up and motivated in the morning? Please....leave comments. :-)

I keep waking up each morning and all I want to do is work out but I never know where to start. Have you gotten in a work out pattern? What do you do?

Once I got myself together, I got all of my items together and headed out to the Boutiki on Pearl Harbor to volunteer. I love going in to see all the great ladies in the shop, but the bad part is that I want EVERYTHING in that store. If you have not been there, you have to go. There is something for EVERYONE!!!

After I was finished, I ran by subway to get a sandwich. Who knew that buying a stupid sandwich would cost so much in Hawaii! Is there anything that is cheap here? What do you do to save money?

After an afternoon of working on photos, course homework and cleaning house, I AM EXHAUSTED! Now is the time when I wish I had him home to chat with, talk about my day, and even give me a hug to tell me everything will be ok.

Have a good night everyone! Aloha! <3

July 7, 2011

Well it's been a little bit since I put up a post, but I have returned. Life has been pretty crazy around here because everything seems to go wrong when he's deployed.

Today I got busy and mowed the yard once again. Who knew that pulling weeds, mowing, cleaning up doggie do do would be such a hassle. I have to give my husband the benefit of the doubt when he was always mowing the yard because t was rough. We have the smallest yard in the world, yet it's a pain in the butt to deal with.

We made spaghetti for dinner and my two favorite doggies were right there beside me the entire time. They knew it was SPAGHETTI night!!!

Off for now! TTYL!

June 24, 2011...Day 1

Hello everyone! Today was the day Joe left on his deployment in the US Navy. Deployments are always difficult for everyone, wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, brothers or sisters. I have been married to my husband for nearly 18 years now and it has not gotten any easier.

The main reason I wanted to start this blog was so I could share all the crazy things that happen to me on a daily basis. Trust me, there is a lot of funny things that go on around me that you would get such a laugh at. I'm hoping we can share stories and ideas.

After I dropped off Joe, we came back home and rested for a bit before I headed over to watch the ship leave the harbor from the view of Ford Island. It was perfect because I could see the ship perfectly. The best part was that I could sit on the back of Joe's truck, watch the ship cruise down the harbor. It was a very sad sight to have to watch because I knew I would not see him for awhile. Thank God for email and phones!

Once I said my goodbye's and the ship sailed around the corner of the harbor, I went back home and started my day. I came home, and began keeping myself busy. I went outside and decided to work on my tan (Yes, you will notice I do this a lot), pull weeds, mow the grass, clean up doggy doo doo, and trim all the flowers and plants in the back yard on the lani. I worked and worked and man did it look great! As I was mowing though, I guess the wonderful winds here in Hawaii grabbed the cover that goes over the BBQ grill and blew it out in the yard. Hello....I was mowing the yard! I managed to hit the edge of the cover and little pieces of black cover blew over the yard. GOOD GRIEF! I'm thinking in my head that it has not even been a full day yet and I have already messed something up. Luckily it was only a little piece of it so I am good. Now it looks like the dog chewed it. LOL!

Now I am covered in grass, all sweaty, and overheated. I think it is time for a shower!

Later this evening we went with the other wives on the ship to have dinner. We ordered an appetizer and just visited with everyone. It was very nice to see everyone and visit with everyone. :-) It's nice to know that there are other people going through the same daily difficult times and problems.

Once we finally got home tonight, all the dogs were so happy to see us. They were all greeting us at the door happy as can be. There is no feeling at all than to see someone so happy to see you when you get home from a long day. To me, it feels the same way as when I see Joe after a long day.

So remember, don't take life too serious and enjoy every day. After all, we are in Hawaii and there is so much to do. Let's see how many fun places we can visit while the ship is away. :-)
